Vijayate Shriman Mathuradheesh Prabhu
Save the Animals, Save the World
The well-being of the entire world now depends upon the well-being of each of us as individuals (Svastyastu vishvasya).
Please provide meals to the needy and food to all hungry animals.
The Corona Covid19 infection has spread fear and uncertainty around the world. This is a time to contemplate deeply; everyone is thinking the same thing: what lies ahead?
One small virus has shaken the massive roots of the world’s greatest superpowers. Suddenly the brakes were hit on everyone’s fast and furious lifestyle, and you all know what happens when you suddenly slam on the brakes: you feel the jolt of whiplash. Now all of India must be saved from that shock.
But the roots of India are not so feeble that they can be shaken by one blow. In India Self-knowledge, along with science, makes us even stronger. Science maintains our physical health, and spirituality protects our mental health.
The government has issued orders to stay at home, and we should strictly follow those orders, no matter how much we desire in our own mind to go out. Make your best effort to bring this wavering mind under control, through practice and yoga. Your austerity of staying at home will be helpful to the entire country of India. Today, the well being of the entire world depends on your health, so first take care of yourself.
As a Pushtimargiya Acharya, I want to say to you all, that this is the time to stay at home and do seva and satsang. The three branches of Pushtimargiya seva, namely raga, bhog, and sringar, are so captivating that you won’t even notice that an entire day has passed in seva. When the mind is restless, delight it with kirtan, for kirtan is said to be “always bliss-giving.” Bhagavat kirtan always brings pleasure to the mind and heart. Keep listening to music at home and reading uplifting books.
With modern technology we can even stay connected with everyone else through video calling. In this internet age, we can live apart but still stay in touch, thanks to these modern technologies, do satsang, make best use of these technologies. The way to show your devotion to our country right now is actually to stay home and be devoted to Prabhu; doing so will achieve both patriotism and Pushti bhakti.
Now most importantly, please listen carefully. I also want to urge you to provide assistance to those who have no access to food, and not only people but all living beings. Take care of the animals too who are dependent on us. We especially must pay attention to our mother cows. In the Pushtimargiya tradition we first feed a cow and then take prasad ourselves. Whatever Goshala you might be connected with, call them today and ask if they have enough food and water for the cows. If not, I urge you to somehow arrange for the necessary funds to be given to that goshala, to ensure that the cows and calves do not suffer.
I have received word from Braj and Shri Girirajji that the monkeys are going hungry because the parikrama path is now closed. That is just one example; who knows how many people and animals must be lacking food and other necessities. Wherever you have connections, contact them and arrange for them to receive assistance. Help others as much as possible, while keeping your own safety in check. Make sure that your money does not fall into the hands of the wrong people who are selfish ,this will not pass along the necessary money or supplies to actual receivers.
This time of Corona will quickly pass and the world will again experience joy as before. This situation is a test, in which we must pass the time with a combination of science and spirituality. This is a war which can be won by staying at home.
Today we must all undertake this austerity of staying at home, for the peace of the planet. We will quickly receive the fruit of our efforts, when again the world is filled with peace and we can again join together in bliss.
There is great power in prayer. We pray for the whole world, because the entire world is our family (Vasudhaiva kutumbakam). We pray to Shri Mathuradheesh for our family, for all of humankind, for blissful peace and well-being: may all beings be free of suffering.
Take great care of yourselves and remain happy, no matter the circumstance, because remaining happy at all times is the greatest form of devotion to God. Lokah samastah sukhino bhavantu— May all beings be happy.

May peace radiate in the sky as well as in the vast ether.
May peace reign on earth, in the water and in all herbs, trees and creepers.
May peace radiate throughout the universe.
May peace be in the Supreme Brahman.
May there always exist in all peace and peace alone.
Aum peace, peace and peace to us and all beings
THANK YOU
